Mariah Carey’s Sister Arrested For Prostitution In New York

55-year-old Alison Carey was busted during a sting operation.

Mariah Carey’s estranged older sister was arrested on prostitution charges in upstate New York Friday (Aug. 26), reports the Daily Freeman. Authorities busted 55-year-old Alison A. Carey during a string operation at a hotel in Saugerties, N.Y., after she offered an undercover officer sexual favors in exchange for money.

According to Saugerties Police Chief Joseph Sinagra, Alison, had been soliciting sex inside the hotel for about a week, and advertised her services through the internet.

Police began investigating Alison, who is HIV-positive, after getting a tip about the internet ads that she posted between Jul. 31 and the day of her arrest.

Her most recent ad reportedly read, “I’m a pretty lady looking for guys who are looking to have some fun and get into a world of pleasure that other [women] just cant provide.”

Anyone who may have had sexual contact with Allison is encouraged to see a doctor.

Upon her arrest, Allison apparently told cops that she was related to the Grammy-winning singer, which they confirmed through an internet search. The sisters have been estranged for several years.

Allison was taken to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $1,000 bail, and is scheduled to return to court next Tuesday (Aug. 30).
