Mariah Carey opened her new Las Vegas residency, “Mariah Carey: The Celebration of Mimi,” on Friday at the Dolby Theater. The Grammy-winning singer fashioned a series of looks for her performances that were each as elegant and dazzling as the next.
Carey’s residency is set to run for 16 dates. The residency is a celebration commemorating the 20th anniversary of Carey’s album “The Emancipation of Mimi.” For her opening night, the singer fashioned designer looks courtesy of Sophie Couture and Valdrin Sahiti, among others. Her looks were curated by stylist Wilfredo Rosado, who also has a pearl-focused jewelry line. The two collaborated before on such notable events as Carey’s “Merry Christmas One and All Tour.”

Glittering embellishments were a main fixture of Mariah Carey’s opening night wardrobe. Among the designs she fashioned, the singer wore this custom Valdrin Sahiti nude mesh Swarovski gown for the finale of her show.
Gilded in Gold Sophie Couture Gown
Carey took gilded glamour to a new level with this custom gown by Sophie Couture. The dress featured shining fabric and a high slit. She also wore tights that featured glittering embellishments as well.
Playful Sheer and Fur Robe Pairing
Carey’s performance wardrobe also took a playful turn with sheer fabric embellished with crystals and a pink satin robe with long fur cuffs.
Glittering Jacket
Continuing her glittering trend, Carey wore this dazzling jacket overtop one of her dresses.
Gold Minidress
The singer also opted for a minidress look during her show, fashioning this gold number with a corseted top and glittering skirt.
Pink Silk
The singer wore this custom Tea Rose Satin Gown by Robert Wun, which featured a detachable pleated skirt and a fully embroidered bust design with more than 3,000 Swarovski crystals.
