Mariah Carey And Nick Cannon's Twins Celebrate 13th Birthday

Dem babies are all grown up! Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon’s twins, Morocco and Monroe, turned 13 on April 30 and their famous parents took to social media to celebrate the milestone birthday.

Cannon Throws Birthday Celebration For Twins

Cannon, 43, and Carey, 55, each posted in honor of their twins’ birthday. The couple was married from 2008 to 2016. Cannon shared videos and photos to his Instagram story showing a fun day with his kids, appearing to celebrate the teens with a party featuring large images of the twins, streamers, cake, balloons and even a sing-along with their famous dad. Everyone attending wore t-shirts emblazoned with the twins’ images and their nicknames, Roc and Roe.

Cannon Celebrates On Social Media

The "The Masked Singer" host also shared a post to his page with an image of the twins and dad on their special day. In the caption, Cannon reflected on fatherhood.

“Can’t believe 13 years ago I was blessed with the greatest gift of becoming a father! God has truly had his hand on the lives of two of the most loving, kind, intelligent and well balanced humans I have ever witnessed!” Cannon gushed.

“Thank you for teaching how to love everyday and thank you for letting me be your dad! I’m going to eventually get it right, I promise! Now let’s get back to partying! I love you Roc and Roe. Happy birthday!”

Carey Shares Sweet Birthday Message

Carey, meanwhile, shared a video of herself and her daughter to her 13 million Instagram followers to celebrate the special occasion.

In the video, Carey and Monroe stand back-to-back, goofing off while a camera films around them.

“Kicking off the birthday celebrations of the year!” the "Always Be My Baby" singer wrote, while including the hashtags #demkids, #roeroe, and #rockytobefeaturedlater, referencing her son. “Dem kids” is a playful way that the twins are often referred to by.

Cannon Is A Father To 12

While the twins are Carey’s only offspring, Cannon has been busy in the parenting department. The actor boasts 12 children from six different women, with the twins’ being the oldest and the youngest being Halo, born in 2022. Cannon has stated that there are no plans for more children "on the horizon."

His son, Golden Sagon, with Brittany Bell, was born in 2017. The two also share daughter, Powerful Queen, and another son, Rise Messiah. He also has twins Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir, plus daughter Beautiful Zeppelin, with Abby De La Rosa. He shares has son Legendary Love with “Selling Sunset” star Bre Tiesi and daughter Onyx Ice with LaNisha Cole. Cannon also had two children with Alyssa Scott: daughter Halo Marie and son Zen, who tragically died of brain cancer at just five months old.

Cannon: You Can't Buy Time

Cannon opened up to E! News about the struggles of parenthood, saying he wants to be more intentional with his children and the guilt he feels with not always being able to be around all of them.

“I know longer want to be careless. I want to be a lot more intentional with life. Especially when dealing with creating life. Because I love all my children, but I probably wasn’t intentional. For now, I have 12. No matter how much money you make, you can’t buy time.”

"I struggle with the idea of attempting to be everywhere at once," he continued. "One, we know that’s impossible. But I still try to do it. There’s that guilt, like, man, I wish I could be there more. But it’s not from the negligence of not making time or being selfish and only focusing on me. Every ounce of my free time is dedicated to my children."
