A holiday reunion!

Queen of Christmas Mariah Carey really is the gift that keeps on giving.

On Saturday night, the popstar surprised fans at her Madison Square Garden concert with an early Christmas present: a live performance featuring Ariana Grande and Jennifer Hudson. During the Dec. 9 stop on her Merry Christmas One and All! tour, Carey paused to announce an “unexpected yet amazing” treat before welcoming her “Christmas angels” to the stage.

Rocking festive mini-dresses perfect for the occasion, the powerhouse trio then performed their one-time holiday collaboration, “Oh Santa.”

Later in the night, Carey praised the reunion on Instagram, writing, “Grateful to have the gorgeous and talented, the Christmas angels join me on stage tonight for our song “Oh Santa! (Remix).”

Hudson reshared the post while Grande also shared a photo of the performance on her Instagram Story, captioned, "I love you queen [Mariah Carey] thank you for this incredibly special moment.”

Dedicated Mariah fans will remember that “Oh Santa” was originally released in 2010 on the singer’s second Christmas album, Merry Christmas II You. A decade later, it got a girl-group inspired remix when Hudson and Grande signed on as guests in Mariah Carey’s Magical Christmas Special. Their rendition of the holiday bop famously included harmonized whistle notes, which Grande and Carey dared to recreate live on the New York stage.

As for bringing the gals together in the first place, Carey told EW in 2020 that a group number is how she always imagined the song.

"It really was a special moment. I think people felt it in the room," she said of their performance. "I enjoyed it as a producer and a songwriter. It was cool just to take a new approach with it, because that was always my [original] inspiration, for it to be a girls' group type of thing."

She continued, "I layered it and made it my own girls' group when I first did it, and to reinvent that song with these incredible women was a very special moment."
