The annual thaw is upon us: At long last, we can re-enter Mariah Carey's winter wonderland.

Nov. 1 marks an annual tradition for the Grammy winner, who busts out her beloved track "All I Want for Christmas" at the stroke of midnight each year, welcoming the holiday season. Move over, celebrities in Halloween costumes — the Queen of Christmas is back to reclaim her throne.

In a video shared on X (formerly Twitter), ghouls and pumpkin heads are seen hard at work with hair dryers in an attempt to melt the ice encasing the chanteuse. But ultimately, it's Carey's voice that shatters her icy prison.

"It's time," she sings in her famous high pitch. And just like that, the world transforms into a giant snow globe with "All I Want for Christmas" trilling away in the background.

The holiday hit has become a seasonal staple, earning Carey her title as the musical Queen of Christmas. With its enduring popularity, it also made her the first artist in history to chart on the Billboard Hot 100 with the same song in four different decades. She makes sure every year to celebrate the yuletide by rehyping the track with new videos, recordings, and holiday concerts.

"When it first came out, it was more of a gradual thing," Carey told EW of the song in 2019. "It was popular, but it didn't have what it has now. I feel like people have grown up with the song and it's become a part of people's lives in terms of the way they celebrate the holidays. That makes me feel really proud as someone that loves Christmas so much."

Despite the timing of her annual defrosting, the "Obsessed" singer typically waits later in the year to decorate her Christmas tree. "I personally like to wait till after Thanksgiving to really get gung-ho," she has said.

Carey will kick off her Merry Christmas One and All tour on Nov. 15 in Highland, Calif. The 16-date journey will conclude at Madison Square Garden in mid-December and feature her performing a collection of holiday classics including, of course, her record-breaking mega-hit "All I Want For Christmas Is You."
