Maria Menounos Celebrates Daughter Athena's First Christmas: 'Sooo Happy and Over the Moon'

Menounos shares her daughter with husband Keven Undergaro

Maria Menounos is enjoying her first Christmas as a mom.

The Heal Squad podcast host, 45, spent the day embracing all the holiday magic with daughter Athena, 5 months, and husband Keven Undergaro. Posting a photo of her daughter's tiny hand, the former E! News correspondent took a minute to honor how special this Christmas was.

"One year ago in the womb..now Grabbing poinsettias! Merry Christmas to you all! Lots of love ❤️," she wrote in the caption.

Menounos also shared a photo of her family of three on Boxing Day, sharing a tribute to her daughter's first Christmas.

"Our first Christmas with Athena was so special, and we are just sooo happy and over the moon that we are continuing our celebrations for Boxing Day!" the proud mom wrote.

On a September episode of Heal Squad, the new mom talked about her decision to share a photo of Athena on social media for the first time.

"I posted for the first time so that everyone can see her face," Menounos said, noting that she and her husband had previously discussed not sharing her photo.

"That picture that I posted of the three of us happened. I'm like, 'Oh my God, she's owning us.' She's in the middle, with her one hand on your chin and the other one on mine. It just happened and it was perfect," she raved.

"In that picture, she's 2½ months. That she's smiling with us, looking up at the camera, it all added up," Undergaro added.

Still, Menounos said she doesn't plan to share Athena unless a "life-changing situation" presents itself: "I'm really going to try not to, for her sake."

The TV host — who welcomed a daughter, Athena, with her husband Keven Undergaro via surrogate in July — co-hosted the Miss Universe pageant last month in a revealing two-piece number by Celia Kritharioti that put her rock-hard abs and toned arms on display.

"As a mom, I'm covered in spit-up and overfilled diapers all the time now. Though I love every second of it, I also love embracing life as a woman, my strong, healthy body — and my youth — for as long as I have it," Menounos told PEOPLE exclusively, shutting down any naysayers.

"My age doesn't define my fashion or anything," she added. "I don't think that you have to start dressing a certain way when you're a certain age or just because you're a mom."
