Margot Robbie Looks Like a Goddess in a Draped Dress and Gold Cuff Bracelets

Margot Robbie has had quite the busy award season this year, stepping out for blockbuster hits Barbie (which she starred in) and Saltburn (which she produced). On Saturday night, she walked the red carpet to celebrate something entirely different: science. But whether she is commemorating film or knowledge, one thing is certain—she will look absolutely fabulous.

Robbie was among an A-list crowd at the 10th annual Breakthrough Prize ceremony. According to the official website, the event, “renowned as the ‘Oscars of Science,’ recognizes the world’s top scientists working in the fundamental sciences—the disciplines that ask the biggest questions and find the deepest explanations.”

For her appearance, the Wolf of Wall Street star exuded goddess energy. Robbie evoked images of Hecate, the goddess of magic, in a black sweeping, strapless gown from Rick Owens’s Spring/Summer 2024 ready-to-wear collection. The piece featured a figure-hugging construction along the bodice and hips and beautiful draping details down the center that fell like water. Keeping on trend, and channeling Athena, goddess of wisdom, she accessorized with two wide gold cuff bracelets, along with a couple gold rings from Jennifer Meyer. Robbie finished off her look with radiant makeup, complete with subtle peach eye shadow, soft rosy cheeks, and glossy lips, and styled her blonde lob down and straight with a middle part.

After months of pink Barbie-inspired looks, Robbie has diverted from the playful hue and opted for sleek black looks instead. She made a statement at the Academy Awards ceremony in March in a striking black gown from Versace’s Fall/Winter 2024 ready-to-wear collection—declared her “revenge dress” by the internet and media after she didn’t receive an Oscar nomination for her lead performance in the Greta Gerwig–directed comedy. The dazzling piece featured a dramatic rounded strapless neckline and an elegant layered molten detail at the waist.
