Maren Morris Wears ‘Groundbreaking’ Floral-print David Koma Halter Dress for ‘The Late Show with Stephen Colbert’

Maren Morris appeared on “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert” on Tuesday to promote her new children’s book, “Addie Ant Goes on an Adventure.”

The “I Could Use a Love Song” singer arrived at the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York on Tuesday, donning a sheer green floral halter dress by designer David Koma. Morris paired the ultra-body contouring silhouette of the floral dress with high-heeled gladiator sandals, complementing the ensemble with her hair styled in soft, loose curls that framed her face.

Morris showcased her spring gown on Instagram with a playful caption, “florals? for spring. groundbreaking,” citing one of Meryl Streep’s lines from “The Devil Wears Prada.”

David Koma’s spring 2024 collection, which includes the gown worn by Morris, draws inspiration from the concept of English floral romanticism, specifically reflecting on the imagery associated with a young Queen Elizabeth II. The collection emphasizes vibrant colors, intricate patterns and sculptural silhouettes. Beyoncé, Willow Smith and Florence Pugh have also been recent fans of the brand.

The look was put together by stylist Dani Michelle, who has previously styled the likes of Kendall Jenner, Hailey Bieber and Elsa Hosk, with hair styled by Dina DiPietro and makeup by Katie Nova. Morris finished the look with a light yellowish green mani-pedi. During her appearance on the show, Morris joined forces with Colbert to perform an impromptu a capella version of “The Star Spangled Banner.”

“Addie Ant Goes on an Adventure,” which was released on April 9 and is coauthored by Morris and her close friend and former schoolteacher, Karina Argow, follows Addie Ant’s first solo venture between gardens, aided by friends.
