See how Kristin Chenoweth, the original Broadway Glinda, reacted to Maren Morris' celebratory tweet.

Maren Morris is one step closer to defying gravity on a Broadway stage.

The country star revealed in a tweet on Thursday that she received a callback for a dream role in the Broadway musical, Wicked.

"I got a callback for Wicked. I am in tears. What the hell," the 32-year-old wrote on Twitter, alongside a crying face emoji and a green heart emoji.

While Morris didn't specify which role she was up for in the fan-favorite musical, she has previously expressed her desire to play Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West.

Following the announcement, former Ozian, Kristin Chenoweth—who played Glinda in the original Broadway show—tweeted a response to cheer on Morris for the accomplishment.

"You go baby!!" Chenoweth wrote. "Told ya you could it!!! xoxooxo"

The kind words from Chenoweth elicited another tweet from Morris, who replied back, "Stop my heart is going to explode."

The "My Church" songstress also took to Instagram Stories to beam over the news in an emotional video, telling her followers, "Y'all, I literally don't even care—yes I do—if I go beyond this callback because this is 14-year-old Maren getting to achieve something that was never in reach."

"It just never felt possible," she continued. "So thank you for being on this journey with me. We'll see where it goes. I'm just really happy. I love Wicked! I love Elphaba! I love Kristin Chenoweth—thank you Kristin, for inspiring me to buck up and just send a self-tape in. I don't know what to say."

According to People, Morris' fans previously asked her which role she would be auditioning for, to which she responded, "I identify highly as an Elphaba but good god her songs are high."

Other users on Twitter have also speculated that Morris would be a good fit for Glinda, or even Elphaba's sister, Nessarose.

A movie adaptation of the beloved musical is also currently underway, with popstar Ariana Grande playing Glinda and Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba.
