Maren Morris and Ryan Hurd are making sure their son has some Halloween fun!

The "My Church" singer-songwriter shared a snippet of how she spent the holiday on her Instagram Story, showing herself and estranged husband Hurd, as well as their 3½-year-old son Hayes Andrew, trick-or-treating.

In the black-and-white photo she posted Tuesday, Morris, 33, smiled widely as she held on to her son’s hand and what appeared to be a bag of candy in another.

The little boy’s face was blocked out with a heart, but he could be seen wearing adorable pants that transformed into a dinosaur body and head at his waist.

While Hayes appeared to be decked out for trick-or treating, Morris and Hurd, 36, kept their looks more on the casual side. The “Pass it On” singer also held his son's other hand in his and smiled brightly as he bent down for the snap.

The photo comes a few weeks after Morris filed for divorce from Hurd on Oct. 2. The Tennessee filing cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the divorce and stated that the pair, who wed in 2018, have been separated since the filing date.

In the month leading up to the “Girl” singer’s divorce filing, Hurd showed support for Morris on Instagram after she announced that she was leaving country music due to feeling “very, very distanced” from the industry and its politics.

"She deserves to be celebrated, not just tolerated," wrote Hurd at the time. "She deserves a little sunshine for the burden she has carried for every artist and fan that feels the same way."

He added, "I can’t wait for that first tour and to see all of the smiling and beautiful people who needed these songs and also need HER … Love you, MM. Keep on keepin’ on."

The pair first met in 2013, but didn't start dating until December 2015. Morris told PEOPLE in 2017 that they had been "friends for only a couple of years, but there was always this writing chemistry in the room," and their relationship eventually evolved.

They made their official red-carpet debut as a couple at the CMT Music Awards in 2016 and got engaged the following year. In March 2018, they tied the knot at The Cordelle in Nashville, writing their own vows in a bar before the ceremony.

After releasing their first duet "Chasing After You," which earned them a Grammy nomination, Hurd told PEOPLE that the birth of their son shifted their priorities.

"Music stuff is not the most important thing anymore. The most important thing is obviously our home life and each other and our kid — and music is just our job sometimes," he said in February 2021. "It comes third, but it doesn't mean it's not important — it just means that the other stuff is always going to be first."
