In 2018, her pop, dance song, "The Middle" with Grey and Zedd peaked at number five with "The Bones" peaking at number 12 on the chart just a year later. Morris has also had 13 songs on Country Airplay including four number ones - “I Could Use A Love Song,” “Craving You,” “Girl,” and “The Bones.” Her 2016 album, "Hero," and her 2019 album, "Girl," both took the number one album spot on the Top Country Albums chart. Her latest album "Humble Crest" reached number two in 2022.
In 2023, Morris announced she was "quitting country music." In an interview with the Los Angeles Times, Morris said the genre was burning itself down. Morris later clarified that she was only leaving behind the "toxic" parts and keeping the good parts.
