Last night's 66th Grammy Awards were history in the making, from Taylor Swift's record-breaking album of the year win to Joni Mitchell's rare live performance.

Female artists dominated nominations in the top categories, making up seven of the eight nominees for both album of the year and record of the year.

“Speaking of killing it, can we speak for a second about how women have dominated music this year,” the show's host, comedian Trevor Noah, quipped during his opening monologue.
