Many Brevard restaurants close on Mondays; these are open and ready to feed you

When it's Monday, throughout Brevard, restaurateurs take the day off to receive weekly food shipments, take inventories, plan menus, deep-clean kitchens, fix whatever needs to be fixed and do whatever else requires doing before things get hectic again Tuesday.

Some take the day as an opportunity to unwind and refresh after another hectic weekend.

But restaurateurs like Angela and Kelly Scianna, who own Mulberry Lane Café in Melbourne, think of Mondays as opportunities.

“I know what some owners say: That they need the time off after busy weekends, or they take care of (deliveries or paperwork) when business is slow anyway, and that’s fine for them,” Kelly Scianna said. “But Mondays are great for us. When you think of all the visitors who look for restaurants, the (locals) who want places to get together, Mondays work out perfectly.”

So if you're on the hunt for a Monday meal, here are some of our favorite places to find one.
