When the 2024 Oscar nominations voting period ended on January 16, the roster of acting precursor triple hitters – those with Critics Choice, Golden Globe, and SAG Award notices – included 16 names. Two days later, most but not all of them earned BAFTA recognition, resulting in a list of 13 performances (the same amount as last year) with perfect precursor runs. Those who pulled off said triple play but didn’t make the BAFTA cut are leads Lily Gladstone (“Killers of the Flower Moon”) and Jeffrey Wright (“American Fiction”) and featured actress Jodie Foster (“Nyad”).
