It’ll likely involve a time-jump given the previous season puts us up to 2003, where humanity has established a base on Mars and there are political debates about asteroid mining.

However, that’s not all. Apple TV+ has also commissioned a new For All Mankind spin-off called Star City, which peeks behind the iron curtain to explore the space race story from the Russian side.

"Our fascination with the Soviet space program has grown with every season of For All Mankind,” creators Matt Wolpert and Ben Nedivi say in a statement.

"The more we learned about this secret city in the forests outside Moscow where the Soviet cosmonauts and engineers worked and lived, the more we wanted to tell this story of the other side of the space race."

Wolpert and Nedivi will juggle both shows, running Star City while overseeing production of For All Mankind season 5. There’s no release date for either show yet.
