Mandy Moore, Shay Mitchell celebrate their birthdays in quarantine: 'Stay safe, stay home'

The party doesn't stop just because many of us are in quarantine — at least not for Mandy Moore or Shay Mitchell.

Since the coronavirus pandemic has forced many states to shut down non-essential businesses and people are abiding by social distancing regulations, the two stars had to take a bit of a different approach to celebrating their birthdays which both fell on Friday.

Moore kept it low-key for her 36th birthday and was just feeling extra thankful for all the birthday love she's been receiving.

"Thank you for thinking of me and it's so so sweet, especially during this very odd and uncertain time for everybody right now, it means a lot. You know how to make a gal feel good," the "This is Us" star said in a video shared to her Instagram Stories.

"I am getting the best birthday gift of all," Moore continued before sharing that one of her cats was hospitalized for seizures and would be coming home that evening.

"It's going to be a long road ahead, but she's coming home today and that's all I wanted," the actress said.

Moore's husband of more than a year, Taylor Goldsmith, also celebrated the actress' birthday with a sweet dedication message on his Instagram page.

"April 10th. The birthday of the most incredible human being on the planet. These weird times have been challenges for all of us, but only she could turn it into an opportunity to get closer, to learn new things, to love each other more. To say I’m grateful would be the understatement of my life," Goldsmith wrote alongside a picture of him and his wife. "Happy birthday @mandymooremm, I promise I’ll change out of sweats someday."

"Pretty Little Liars" alumna Mitchell took a decidedly different approach, making her birthday interactive – by which we mean she made a sign reading,"It's my 33rd birthday! You honk I drink!" She then held it in front of her driveway while wearing her special birthday outfit: sweatpants, house slippers and a party hat accessorized with a bottle of liquor.

"Even throughout a global pandemic, quarantine, and rain... this is the most grateful I’ve ever felt on a birthday," the former "Pretty Little Liars" star captioned the photo. "Stay safe, and stay home.

She also posted a video (made using "tikitty tok, ticker tok, whatever they call it") documenting her special day.
