Mandy Moore poses with Rapunzel at Disneyland

Mandy Moore is proving that mother still knows best.

The actress, 39, shared a photo from her recent trip to Disneyland on Instagram, holding her 2-year-old son Augustus "Gus" as she posed next to Rapunzel and Flynn Ryder. Moore, who voiced Rapunzel in the 2010 animated film Tangled, poked fun at the encounter in her Instagram caption.

"Gus isn’t interested in Tangled and really couldn’t care less that mom and Rapunzel are 'close friends,' " she joked.

"Now if I knew Lightning McQueen, that would be another story 🤷‍♀️. Thanks for having us @disneyparks- you are always magic but seeing the world through Gus’s eyes is a whole new ballgame."

Moore shares her two sons, Gus and Oscar "Ozzie," 12 months, with husband Taylor Goldsmith.

In October, the star celebrated her son Ozzie's first birthday, posting a few sweet shots of her baby boy.

“Turns out 1 is NOT the loneliest number when you have family like this to help you celebrate your birthday!” Moore wrote alongside the photos, which included some adorable photos of Ozzie with his older brother and dad.

In October, Moore chatted with PEOPLE about what she's most looking forward to this winter with her two kids.

"I think we're excited to figure out what those traditions are going to be," she said. "Honestly, [Ozzie] was so tiny last year, and we were here on the East Coast, which was fun in and of itself, to have that new experience."

"But we're going to move soon, and so I'm excited to settle in and put down roots and figure out what those traditions are going to be."

The Tangled actress also spent the summer potty-training Gus and acknowledged that "it's a process; it's not an event."

"We just keep telling ourselves it's a process," she continued. "And going to school, there have been a few setbacks because he needed to be potty-trained for school, and so yeah, there's been a few little accidents here and there and a little bit of a regression, but that's to be expected."
