Mandy Moore Calls Her 'Candy' Music Video 'Abysmal': 'I Have No Rhythm'

Mandy Moore has come a long way since her days as a teenage pop star.

The 32-year-old actress is currently gaining notoriety for her role on the wildly popular show, This Is Us, but in 1999, she was known for her hit single, "Candy."

On Tuesday's Late Late Show, Moore admitted to host James Corden and Matthew Broderick that after the release of her highly choreographed "Candy" music video, she was no longer asked to dance. "My very first music video, I had to dance in it and it is abysmal," she quipped. "I think the powers that be realized very early on that, 'You know what, you should just have background dancers.'"

Moore also noted, "I have no rhythm. I'm super awkward."

Corden joked that Moore was offered a stool going forward, and he's not that far off from what really happened. In 2000, Moore sang the theme song to the dance movie Center Stage but in this music video, she's seated on the floor and is only dressed like a dancer.

Corden -- a self-proclaimed boy band fan -- also asked Moore to share the "embarrassing" story of when she toured with 'NSYNC and Backstreet Boys at age 15. "I remember distinctly one time walking backstage, and I didn't really see much of the guys because I was the measly opening act," she recalled. "Nobody cared about me ...and somehow there was a conversation about feet or foot size. They were comparing shoe size. And all the background dancers and 'NSYNC background dancers and my background dancers, and I stroll up at 15 like freaking out that Justin Timberlake is there."

She continued, "He was like, 'You have big feet for a girl.' I'm sure he doesn't remember this at all but I was so impressionable. I thought the world of him and he was on a pedestal. I mean 16 years later it stuck with me. It really scarred me emotionally."

While she claims to not be a great dancer, Moore did put on a little show in the opening scene of the This Is Us pilot episode. In an exclusive interview with ET, the actress revealed what fans can expect from her character Rebecca's relationship with the father of her triplets, Jack (Milo Ventimiglia). Check it out:
