Man 'whines' that girlfriend won't 'give up' one of her favorite foods for him: 'The world doesn't revolve around [you]'
A man is demanding his girlfriend give up seafood because he is allergic to it.
He asked Reddit’s “Am I the A******? (AITA)” forum to weigh in. He explained that although his girlfriend loves seafood, it can be an “inconvenience” to him because he is allergic to it. They’ve been together for three years, and she has significantly cut back on eating it.
But after she ate seafood with a friend, she stopped him from kissing her.
“I got a bit disappointed because I was looking forward to spending some time together with her,” he explained. “I said that maybe it would be better if she’d just give up on seafood all together.”
She got upset and immediately shut down his request. But he still feels that, despite it being a part of her family traditions, she should be willing to give up a “small thing” for him.
Redditors thought the boyfriend’s demand was unreasonable.
“Do you want some cheese with your whine?” a user wrote.
“You want her to stop eating it, even though she makes sure not to harm you with it?” another said.
“The world doesn’t revolve around what is convenient for you,” a person commented.
