Man Says Wife Critique’s Him ‘In A Way That Makes Me Feel Small’

Paula and Jeremy have been married for 21 years. They have two teenagers, and, according to Jeremy, Paula is controlling and treats him like her third child. “Paula will critique me in a way that makes me feel small,” he says, adding, “Everything has to be her way, or else there is no peace in the house.” Paula says she realizes she is controlling but claims that Jeremy is lazy, doesn’t communicate, and won’t help around the house. “I am at a breaking point in my marriage,” she says. “I can’t do any more. I’m tired.” To make matters worse, says Paula, Jeremy has no desire to be intimate. Jeremy says he wants to save their relationship, but Paula says she wants a divorce if things don’t change soon.
