A Pennsylvania man faces two murder charges after he allegedly fatally shot his elderly mother and brother in his home, according to the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office.

Aaron Deshong, 49, called the FBI on Sunday from his home and said he’d possibly hurt his family members, the DA’s office said in a press statement.

The FBI then notified the Pennsylvania State Police, who sent troopers to the residence, where the suspect's mother also lived.

The victims are 74-year-old Wanda Deshong and 53-year-old Adam Deshong, according to the statement.

During the phone call with the FBI Threat Assessment Center, when Deshong was asked if his mother and brother were unharmed, he responded, “That's a very good question,” according to court documents cited by NBC10. He also allegedly told officials at the center that Wanda and Adam were not able to come to the phone.

When troopers arrived at the scene, they found the suspect still on the phone with the FBI. They soon located the bodies of Wanda and Adam on the kitchen floor, NBC10 reports.

The DA’s office statement claimed a revolver belonging to the suspect was used in the shooting. His mother died from one gunshot wound and his brother died from multiple shots, the medical examiner’s office has said. Their deaths have been ruled as homicides.

While his motive behind the alleged killing was not immediately clear, he allegedly told investigators that his father's death put him "on edge", The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Deshong also allegedly said he is not at a risk of suicide, and does not trust law enforcement authorities, according to The Pottstown Mercury.

Deshong faces five total charges, including two counts of first-degree murder and two counts of third-degree murder, court records indicate.

He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on Oct. 2 and is being held without bail at the Montgomery County Correctional Facility, according to the court documents.

It's not clear if he has retained a defense attorney or entered a plea.
