Woman exposes ex-boyfriend's alleged disturbing behavior after breakup: 'Probably dodged a serial killer'
At least once a week, a TikTok user asks a question and requests responses from others. The most recent question-of-the-week called for gut-wrenching tales of the worst ways people have been ghosted in relationships past.
Typically, stories from two or three users stand out. This time around, a woman who goes by @kathrynverb completely blew everyone else out of the water.
“This sound was made for me,” she said, starting off strong. “I was with this man for two years, and I thought I was going to marry him, have his babies and spend the rest of our lives together.”
She said they were together until the COVID-19 pandemic hit, and one day, he told her he thought he had the disease. In fact, she said he had it so bad that he was contemplating going to the hospital … until he “miraculously” started feeling better.

“It was the same day he told me he was feeling better that I never heard from him ever again,” @kathrynverb said.
She claimed he stopped responding to all her messages, so she began calling hospitals, but couldn’t find him. When she finally filed a report with the police, she said they told her he did not exist.
“So not only did my boyfriend ghost me by faking his own death, he also had lied to me for two years about his real identity,” she said.
Commenters were shocked, as one might expect.
“You probably dodged a serial killer,” one user said.
“You dated this guy for two years and never Googled him?” another wrote.
“Two years and he just went ghost like that? Psychopath for sure,” a third commented.
In a follow-up video, @kathrynverb said it took her half a year to find his true identity, but some of her followers found it for her in just an hour.
“This is why boundaries and knowing your worth is a must. Learn from my mistakes,” @kathrynverb summarized in a comment. She also noted that she was not ready to share her ex’s identity, but she appreciated everyone who was looking out for her.
