Mike admits he has stolen from Ashley and robbed others to support his drug habit. He says he started using painkillers after he had surgery in 2012. “Because of the amount of drugs that they were giving me, I became extremely addicted,” he claims.
Mike admits that over time, he has escalated to abusing both prescription medications and street drugs. He claims he does not use them to get high – he is using them to function.
Ashley says she went to the courthouse recently to pick up eviction paperwork, and that if Mike does not get help for his drug dependency, he will have to go.
