Man Accused Of Abusing Stepdaughters And Threatening To Kill Them Denies Accusations

Steve’s ex-stepdaughters, Jessica, Amber and Brittney, accuse him of sexually abusing them for years while they were growing up. After taking a plea which did not require him to admit wrongdoing, he was convicted of sexual abuse and had to register as a sex offender, but Steve adamantly denies the accusations. He claims his ex-wife was upset he wanted a divorce so she made the girls lie about abuse.

Brittney also accuses Steve of threatening to kill her sisters and her mom.

“He told me that he was going to kidnap my sisters, these two, my mother, and that he was going to record them saying that my mom made them say those things, kill them, save my mother for last, torture her slowly, and have her also admit that she made them say these things, kill her and then kill himself,” Brittney tells Dr. Phil.

In the video above, Steve refutes Brittney’s account.

“I had some very dark thoughts, very dark thoughts. I was ready to die,” Steve says, adding that his wife talked him out of harming anyone. “I was drinking pretty heavily, too.”
