Every winter I read The History of Love by Nicole Krauss. I had picked it up at a bookstore during my second year of college after a friend highly recommended it. I decided then: underline every thing that you find beautiful. It turned out to be one of the best books I have ever read & thoroughly marked up. Now I read it during the winter months because the story makes me think about being seen, known & loved. How often the winter also makes me think about the same thing.
