Every winter I read The History of Love by Nicole Krauss. I had picked it up at a bookstore during my second year of college after a friend highly recommended it. I decided then: underline every thing that you find beautiful. It turned out to be one of the best books I have ever read & thoroughly marked up. Now I read it during the winter months because the story makes me think about being seen, known & loved. How often the winter also makes me think about the same thing.
We all want to be seen. To be known that we are here, even for this short moment. To love and be loved in return, sharing our collection of stories hidden away in our back pockets.
What’s your favorite book to re-read during winter?
