Thank You For The... streaming services, because Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again has just been made available on Netflix UK.

The hugely popular follow-up to the beloved 2008 hit – which is due to arrive on the platform too on July 1 – landed online today (June 26), amplifying ABBA fanatics' happy Friday feeling by approximately 98%.

Released in 2018, Here We Go Again – a glorified part prequel, part sequel – explores how Meryl Streep's character Donna Sheridan (now played by Lily James) ended up on the island of Kalokairi back in 1979.

In the present, it centres on Donna's daughter Sophie (Amanda Seyfried) as she prepares for the grand reopening of her mother's hotel, following Donna's death one year earlier.

While the movie received positive reviews, many critics and fans pointed out the oddness of Donna's mother Ruby (played by Cher) rocking up to the villa towards its conclusion, as the first film seemed to suggest that the character wasn't alive anymore.

"There are holes. Her mum was definitely dead in the first one, she's like, 'God rest her soul,'" James laughed during an interview with Digital Spy, before going on to claim that other discrepancies in the timeline are likely due to Donna not remembering things correctly.

Jessica Keenan Wynn, who plays the younger version of Christine Baranski's Tanya, added: "There are people out there who are such big fans that they will dig and dig and dig to find something inaccurate. It makes people happy in the end."

That it does, Jessica. That it does.
