Mama June of ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Fame Returns With New Show

Hey, remember Here Comes Honey Boo Boo? Well, one of its stars is getting her third television show. That’s right, June Shannon, also known as “Mama June,” is getting a new series on WE tv. It’s called Mama June: From Not to Hot. It will feature Shannon as she loses weight and tries to move on from her cheating ex, Mike “Sugar Bear” Thompson.

Joined by her daughters, Honey Boo Boo (Alana) and Pumpkin (Lauryn), she’s seeking change in more than one way. “I used the last of my savings and bought me, Pumpkin, Alana a brand-new home in my hometown,” Shannon narrates over footage in a new trailer for the first season. “Goodbye, old life. Goodbye, men that don’t treat me right. Goodbye to this old body. When I’m done, I’m not gonna even recognize my old self in the mirror. Y’all better get ready.”

If you’re just jonesing for this show, you can tune in on Friday, Feb. 24 at 10 p.m. for the series premiere. Maybe it’ll wow you like her transformation wows her friends.
