Mama June Addresses Abuse Claims Against Sugar Bear on ‘Wendy Williams’

Reality TV star “Mama June” Shannon — now starring in Mama June: From Not to Hot on WE — appeared on The Wendy Williams Show, where she spoke about her recent allegations against ex-boyfriend, Michael Thompson, also known as Sugar Bear. Shannon says that Thompson was abusive when they were filming Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, which starred Shannon and Thompson’s daughter together, Alana, otherwise known as Honey Boo Boo. According to Shannon, Thompson wasn’t only abusive to her but also to the children, but the abuse was kept from the cameras. Shannon also has alleged recent verbal abuse. Thompson denies all the allegations.

Thompson was married in January — the wedding was shown on Not to Hot — and according to Shannon, Thompson’s wife was unaware of his violent outbursts until recently. Williams showed a clip of an upcoming episode of Not to Hot in which we see such an outburst. Thompson’s new wife appears shocked.
