Maluma Says He Won't Hide the Fact He's a 'Sex Symbol' from His Baby Girl on the Way: 'That's What People See'

The Colombian singer is currently expecting his first baby with girlfriend Susana

Maluma isn't afraid to talk about sexuality with his future daughter.

In a cover spread for Playgirl, the Colombian singer, 30, opened up about expecting his first baby with girlfriend Susana. Noting that being sexy is "something that I have in my DNA," Maluma shares that he isn't planning on hiding his sex symbol status from his future daughter.

Although there will be a "period of time" where he plans to focus entirely on his family of three, Maluma says he knows there will be a day when his daughter will find out "her dad is a sex symbol and that's what people see."

When she does, the father-to-be says he hopes it will inspire a more positive effect on the way his daughter thinks about her sexuality and physicality.

Ahead of the 2024 Grammy Awards, Maluma opened up on the E! Live from the Red Carpet pre-show about how much he had to celebrate: His nomination for best Latin pop album, as well as preparing to welcome his first born.

While speaking with host Laverne Cox, the Colombian superstar admitted that, while he's excited, he's not necessarily feeling prepared.

"I’m not ready. I’m kind of nervous to be honest," he said of welcoming his baby, a girl they've already named Paris. "That's why they say there is no manual to have children, so I'm just gonna learn and let's see what happens."

He is sure of one thing, though: "The only thing I know is that I love that baby with all my heart."

Maluma and his longtime girlfriend announced that they were expecting a baby girl in October 2023. The big news was revealed in Maluma's music video for his single "Procura."

The "Según Quién" artist premiered the visual during the final stop of his Don Juan Tour at Capital One Arena in Washington D.C. and sat down on the stage to watch fans take in the moment. Fans got to get their first glimpse at some of his more intimate moments showing his growing family as well as the sex reveal of his child.

In December, Maluma shared a few sweet selfies on Instagram with his pregnant girlfriend, posing together in a bathroom.

In the black-and-white photos, Maluma rested his hand on his girlfriend's baby belly, with the two wearing matching white Calvin Klein underwear.

"Gracias por escogernos 💘," he wrote in his caption, which translates to, "Thank you for choosing us."
