FRANK SCHWAB: The Philadelphia Eagles made one of the most confusing picks of the NFL draft when they took Oklahoma quarterback Jalen Hurts in the second round. Hurts is a good player. He's a good dual threat, but it doesn't make a lot of sense because the Eagles already have Carson Wentz.

Drafting a gadget-type of quarterback is fine, but that was a very valuable pick. There were very good players left on the board for the Eagles to fill some needs. Denzel Mims of Baylor one of those receivers out of there. He could have really helped the Eagles right away. A lot of players could've helped Philadelphia right away, but they used the draft capital on a player who might only play a handful of plays, taking Wentz off the field for those trick plays.

I didn't like the pick. It's weird to figure out what Doug Peterson has in mind with this one. They'll get Hurts on the field. They used a second round pick on him, but it's just confusing to figure out what this means for the Eagles going forward.
