On Sunday, ABC aired The Making of Frozen: A Return to Arendelle, and viewers got a behind-the-scenes glimpse into how the popular film was created. Kristen Bell, who voiced Anna, explained, “I kept pushing for her to be quirkier and goofier because that’s how I felt as a kid growing up. I sort of embraced having a not-so-standard princess personality.”
Fans got to know Idina Menzel (Elsa), who belted the hit “Let it Go,” but it doesn’t seem she always wanted the attention. She said, “When I was a kid, I had this voice, and so I would hide it all the time. So I completely related to this character.”
Josh Gad who voiced Olaf credited the Disney animation team for much of his character’s success. He said, “Olaf is the culmination of not just my own vocal choices, but hundreds of people who have pitched on ideas, who have taken pen to pad or finger to keyboard and have created this lovable, wonderfully fun, wonderfully whimsical, wonderfully naive character.”
