The vast, sweeping changes now covering America have impacted how the public views one of the most contentious issues sports has seen in decades: the right of athletes to protest.
Rocky: “Could Camden hold the key to the future of America?” Absolutely not, with a crime rate of 47 per 1000 and a police department cut into pieces, it is in fact one of the most dangerous cities in America. Instead we should be looking toward cities like Broadview Heights Ohio which has the lowest crime rate per capita then any other city. How do they achieve this? The answer is community involvement. Just this last month the city held a marathon through their Broadview Heights neighborhoods, which the police department played a big role in to participate and maintain the safety and security of all participants and residents. The marathon raised money for the Greater Cleveland Food Bank to assist those in need. Also the police department relies heavily on community involvement in regards the crime reporting. This is the Broadview heights most recent Facebook post “If any resident has video cameras on the outside of their residence, especially any cameras pointed at the street, please let us know by email. YOUR INFORMATION WILL BE KEPT PRIVATE. If something happens on your street in the vicinity of your residence, your cameras may help solve a crime or provide information that may be useful. You can email Detective Reasor at email@example.com. Thank you!” Instead of fighting the police we need to be working with them to make our communities safe and a great place to live.
