During the episode, Wendy and Eddie had a date night together at a Konoko, a Jamaican restaurant located in White Marsh, Maryland. As they enjoyed drinks and food together, they began chatting about Eddie's latest business venture, the aptly named Happy Eddie, in which Wendy is an investor.

"Last year I heard [...] that I was called 'Happy Eddie,'" Eddie stated in an interview with his wife, referencing a memorable Season 7 moment. "So, when I was thinking about entering this industry, I said, 'Hey, let's use 'Happy Eddie' and let's see where it goes.' This cannabis industry ... I think this is gonna be the gold mine."

Eddie continued in the interview by further explaining his reasoning for entering the industry. "Maryland legalized the recreational use of marijuana in 2022, but only 2 percent of the [cannabis] industry is Black in terms of entrepreneurs, so I wanted to be that conduit for change."

As far as Wendy's mother, Iyom Susan Okuzu, is concerned, the couple revealed how pleasantly surprised they were with her reaction. Eddie noted: "She said, 'OK, so when are we gonna get our millions?' And I said, 'In due time, in due time.'"

Is Eddie Osefo still working as an attorney?

Eddie confirmed in an interview during the episode that he still has a career as an attorney. He noted that his new venture "takes time away from work," but that he simply loves working in the growing field.
