And that has not changed. Which really surprised me.”

Earlier reports indicated that McIntyre had not inked a fresh contract, with his existing agreement set to expiry following WrestleMania 40.

In response, Punk stated he would rehab, and he would be coming for McIntyre first.

This led to both stars brawling, with Drew McIntyre attacking CM Punk on his injured arm.
