Janhvi Kapoor has become the talk of town since her recent appearance on Koffee with Karan. Besides this, Janhvi is placed to hit the big screens as part of Devara with Jr. NTR & Saif Ali Khan. Furthermore, recent reports have emerged stating that Janhvi Kapoor is now positioned to be part of the Mahabharat film along with Kanguva actor Suriya.

For those unaware, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra is currently set to collaborate with Kanguva actor Suriya for his upcoming Karna project. The film will be based on Karna, a character in the Mahabharat epic. The movie will portray his life story and his part in the battle of Mahabharat.

Earlier news stated that Suriya would be portraying the role of Karna in the film. Further, reports surfaced that the makers have approached Nayanthara for being the female lead. In addition, Disha Patani was initially considered to play the female role, but the plans were seemingly dropped.

Additionally, some sources stated that Karna will be made in two installments and will likely be released on a pan-India level. The shooting is also foreseen to begin soon this year and boasts an impressive cast.

Janhvi Kapoor to join Kanguva actor Suriya in Mahabharat cast

After the speculations of Disha Patni and Nayanthara, reports are circulating regarding Janhvi Kapoor potentially joining this cast. The Kapoor daughter is expected to play the female lead in the film if the reports come to fruition.

Already, Janhvi is set for some major upcoming projects, including the much-anticipated Devara. Amid this, the speculation of her joining the cast of Karna adds more excitement to the buzz.

Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s film Karna is expected to have a humongous budget of around $60 million. It will be intriguing to see how things will unfold in the upcoming months and whether Janhvi Kapoor will cohere with the cast.
