Magic Johnson’s daughter reveals scars from terrifying home invasion
Magic Johnson’s daughter, Elisa, put her bravery on display by showing off her scars from a December home invasion.
Along with a photo of herself in a sports bra and pants, which showed the long marks crisscrossing her abdominal area, the 24-year-old shared that she had been “afraid” to show her body since she “escaped” during the dangerous incident in L.A.’s San Fernando Valley. The “intense” scarring left her “incredibly insecure about the way I look,” she admitted, adding, “as women we tend to be very hard on ourselves.”
However, she said she has come to realize that “these scars are a part of my journey, and tell the story of who I am.” She concluded her self-healing message by writing, “I love my body, and I am proud to be in the place I am today.”
Johnson, who has appeared in her brother EJ Johnson’s reality show EJNYC, didn’t elaborate on the terrifying ordeal. When it was reported in early December by TMZ, it was noted that she was “okay and no one else in the house suffered any physical injuries.”
According to the report, Johnson and nine friends had rented a house through Airbnb when the home invasion took place. Two armed gunmen came inside and “terrorized” Johnson and her friends, holding some at gunpoint. Johnson reportedly fled through a sliding glass door at the back of the home, ran down the street to escape and knocked on a neighbor’s door for help.

The suspects made off with a Rolex and other jewelry, cash and electronics, stealing between $30,000 and $40,000 worth of possessions. However, an arrest was made — of a 25-year-old male parolee — with the help of surveillance video from the neighborhood.
Johnson’s post about her scars led others to share stories about their own. Commenter Danielle Guizio (@guizioo) wrote, “I have all scars on my tummy from a surgery few years ago...at first I was insecure about them, then they became apart of me & my story :).”
Another person, Changela Basset (@chanel_mack) wrote, “Omg. Last year I was in a coma and had a tube put in my throat to breath. That scar was haunting me... I think imma wear a v neck this weekend. Thank you!!!!”
Dance Moms personality Abby Lee Miller, who recently showed off her own scar going all the way up her back, also commented on Johnson’s brave post.
