“MAFS”: Chloe Has 'Never Been So Torn' About Michael as She Cries Over Decision to Stay Married or Split (Exclusive)

In PEOPLE’s exclusive sneak peek at this week’s 'Married at First Sight', Chloe admits it’s "hard for me to imagine my life" without husband Michael but she still doesn’t know if they’re "meant to be"

Chloe knows her relationship with new husband Michael is in limbo as Decision Day nears.

In PEOPLE’s exclusive sneak peek at this week’s episode of Married at First Sight,  the 39-year-old Senior Director of Development opens up to a friend about how she believes Michael is “scared” after getting cold feet on last week’s episode.

When asked if she is also intimidated by the looming decision, Chloe responds, “Yeah.”

“Chloe! I didn't see that coming,” her pal replies as she adds, “I didn't see it coming either.”

Chloe’s friend encourages to try to make it work with Michael, explaining, “Not long ago you were in the happiest place and I know you are giving everything and more for this to work and I believe he is too. So now don't you think that you guys could try? Don't you think it's worth at least trying to see if you guys can get back to that place where you were not long ago?”

However, Chloe remains uncertain about the couple’s future, responding, “I don't know.”

“It's hard for me to imagine my life without him,” she says before breaking down in tears. “And yet at the same time, I don't know that we're meant to be. I've never been so torn in my entire life.”

Chloe’s admission comes after Michael expressed doubts about their marriage while she told Michael was “strongly in like” with him. The pair have yet to exchange I love yous.

Earlier this season, Michael revealed he would have some reservations if Decision Day were the following day.

When Chloe asked what he would say if the all-important day were tomorrow, he responded, “Well, I would say that I feel that we're trending in the positive direction towards a yes.”

He then detailed what he would need to feel secure in saying “yes” to continuing their marriage.

“What I would need to say yes, it just feel like that we've not only solidified and created an emotional connection, which I think we did, but we've sustained it and progressed it to a degree, not just where I would say like, ‘I want to continue dating you’ because it's not dating but I want to continue in this marriage, which I think is like a significant level,” he explained. “That's what I would say I need.”

Chloe sensed that her husband was actually holding back his true feelings, saying, “I think I might be kind of hearing a little bit that if decision day was tomorrow, you might be feeling like it's no.”

“I would be feeling like I have insufficient data,” Michael clarified and she added, “Thank you for being honest about that.”
