Madonna has announced the rescheduled dates for her 40th anniversary "Celebration" tour.

The Austin shows, originally scheduled to hit the Moody Center on Sept. 21-22, will now take place next year on April 14-15. All tickets to the original shows will be honored.

On Tuesday, tickets to both shows were available through Ticketmaster for $164 and up.

Madonna postponed North American leg of 'Celebration' tour in July

In July, Madonna scrapped the original U.S. dates of her 40th anniversary tour because of a bacterial infection that landed her in an intensive care unit in New York a few weeks earlier. In a statement thanking fans for their "positive energy, prayers and words of healing and encouragement," she announced plans to push back the North American leg of the tour and instead begin her tour in Europe. The tour is set to kick off with a show at London's O2 Arena on Oct. 14. It will wind across the continent for two months before ending at the same venue on Dec. 6.

The pop diva will return to the U.S. late this year, resuming the North American leg of the tour with a December 13 show at the Barclays Center in New York.

Madonna's last Austin concert was in 1985

The Celebration Tour appears to be Madonna's first Austin tour stop since a 1985 concert at the Frank Erwin Center on her debut Virgin Tour.

Austin American-Statesman correspondent Debi Martin remarked on the show's "slick, polished, contemporary Las Vegas-style production." But the reviewer did not approve of the way the pioneer of sex-positive pop music incorporated heavy innuendo into her set.

"Madonna’s awfully bold for someone who is embarking on her first major tour. She is a Marilyn Monroe-ish, 'It' girl of the ‘80s. But this reviewer found her juvenile, aggressive flirtations with the audience tiresome," Martin wrote. Still, the writer acknowledged that Madge was a "formidable, timely talent."
