Madonna coming to Acrisure Arena at start of 2024

Acrisure Arena is living in a Madonna world, or at least it will be early next year.
The arena announced Monday that the Queen of Pop will be bringing her "The Celebration Tour" to Palm Desert on Jan. 11, 2024.
A ticket presale will take place on madonna.com from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday. The presale passcode is VIRGIN. Ticket sales will then resume on Saturday at ticketmaster.com. Ticket prices were not announced.
The Celebration Tour is billed as a greatest hits tour that will highlight his from across the pop star's four decade-spanning catalogue. The tour kicks off in July in Vancouver and is currently scheduled to hit 80 arenas in North America and Europe. Joining Madonna on the tour will be Bob the Drag Queen, who achieved fame by winning the eighth season of "RuPaul's Drag Race."
The show will not be Madonna's first foray into the Coachella Valley: she played Coachella in 2006 in front of what was described at the time by Billboard as "one of the largest crowds ever to witness an artist at the event" to that point.
Madonna is the latest big name artist to announce a show at the new arena, which has hosted the likes of The Eagles and Harry Styles in its first few months.
The 64-year-old star generated headlines last month after she introduced a performance by Sam Smith and Kim Petras at the Grammy Awards, which led some to take to social media to criticize her appearance and ask if she had received plastic surgery that had distorted her face.
Madonna responded on Instagram, bemoaning that she had been "caught in the glare of ageism and misogyny that permeates the world we live in" before adding that she would not apologize for her choices and that the critics "won't break my soul."
