Madonna Cancels More 'Madame X' Shows Over 'Overwhelming' Pain

Madame X
Madonna has been making waves with her experimental tour, Madame X. Rolling Stone describes the tour as "messy" and "gloriously weird," saying that it's a must see for Madonna die hards. Madge explained why she started the tour, saying:
"Everybody knows I moved to Lisbon to become a soccer mom. I found myself alone, without friends, a little bit bored."
She continued, exclaiming "From now on, I’m Madame X and Madame X loves to dance!"
However, the tour has not been without its share of issues.
Cancelling A Show
Madonna announced on Instagram on Wednesday that she would have to cancel shows in Boston due to an unspecified health issue.
"Please forgive this unexpected turn of events. Doing my show every night brings me so much joy and to cancel is a kind of punishment for me but the pain I'm in right now is overwhelming and I must rest and follow doctors orders so I can come back stronger and better and continue the Madame X journey with all of you. #madamextheatre"
Madonna is expected to resume her tour on December 7 in Philadelphia, and ticket holders in Boston were refunded rather than rescheduled due to time constraints.
Previous Difficulties
This isn't the first time that Madonna has had to back out of a show on this tour, postponing a Brooklyn concert in October.
"It’s hard for Madame X to admit that she is also a human being made of flesh and blood and she must rest for the next 3 days to insure full recovery for her knee. I am not a quitter. This hurts me more than you can imagine. Its time to take those heels and fishnets off for a few days! Thank you for your understanding."
Tour Problems
Madame X has been plagued by other issues as well. A man in Florida sued Madonna over the late start to one of her concerts. According to his filing, Nate Hollander spent $1,024.95 on tickets to the show, and when the start time moved from 8:30 to 11:00 p.m., Hollander claimed to "suffered an extreme loss of value" that made reselling the tickets "impossible."
Hollander says that he and other ticket holders "suffered actual and consequential damages including, but not limited to, loss of consideration paid and the devaluation of the ticket."
Madonna's response? During a Las Vegas show, she exclaimed "There's something that you all need to understand. And that is, that a queen is never late."
