Madewell jeans have a bit of a cult following. In fact, the brand once shared that a pair of its Perfect Vintage Jeans sells every other minute. That said, it’s a trusted spot for all kinds of quality basics — like its best-selling Airpuff Quilted Packable Jacket.
According to the product’s webpage, more than 222 shoppers purchased the packable jacket in the last seven days, and 53 reviewers give it a collective 4.7 out of 5 stars. So, yeah, it’s pretty popular. Luckily, it’s also on sale during Madewell’s Insiders Event.
Airpuff Quilted Packable Jacket, $158
The Airpuff Quilted Packable Jacket comes in two colors this season: Tundra (olive green) and Chanterelle (yellow). The brand’s sustainable PrimaLoft insulation makes it as warm as a down coat, and the fabric is 100% recycled content (like water bottles and other recyclables). Additionally, it has a hood and an adjustable drawstring hem.
The main draw is probably the fact that it packs perfectly into a convenient neck pillow, though — just another reason it’s great for traveling.
“It’s soft, super lightweight and feels cozy, kind of like a hug,” wrote one Madewell reviewer.
“I saw this in my local store and had to try it on. Let me tell you, it is puffer perfection,” wrote another. “Ideal length, roomy for layering (but not oversized), slight a-line shape covers the bum and is very figure flattering. I love the quilted pattern and the hood is a nice bonus!”
If you need a little extra warmth, the jacket’s product description suggests pairing this coat with the coordinating faux-shearling vest.
With or without the vest though, this packable jacket is great for traveling, hiking, apple picking, running errands around town — pretty much anywhere you’re going to be moving. One suggestion: Get it before it’s gone.
