Maddie Ziegler Addresses Leaving ‘Dance Moms’
On Monday’s Dance Moms, the mothers were spooked by rumors that their star dancer, Maddie Ziegler, was leaving the dance studio. They confronted Maddie’s mom, Melissa, citing gossip magazine sources. Melissa Ziegler denied that Maddie would leave.
Abby Lee Miller, the owner of the studio, questioned the young dancer about her plans, and Maddie reaffirmed her commitment to the studio.
Those rumors proved to be true. The day the episode aired, Maddie made an official announcement that she will not be returning to Dance Moms for Season 7. She plans to make time to judge the new kids version of So You Think You Can Dance.
Maddie Ziegler’s star has been rising recently. She’s been featured in several Sia videos and has acted in a feature film. She even won the “Seriously Popular Award” at the People’s Choice Awards.
Dance Moms airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. on Lifetime.
