After a new trailer for the Madame Web movie offered some details on the plot and the main villain hit the web, fans are curious to know who the villain is. Here is all you need to know about Ezekiel Sims.

Who is the main villain in the Madame Web movie?

The main villain of the Madame Web movie is Ezekiel Sims.

In the upcoming movie, Ezekiel Sims has the appearance of a black and red Spider-Man. However, he is no hero and isn’t linked to Peter Parker (or Miles Morales). He poses a threat to Madame Web and the three Spider-Women.

It’s unclear why Ezekiel Sims is attacking the four women, though he does mention that they need to die “because of what they become.” It’s clear that Sims has seen the future, or at least a variant of potential events.

In the comics, Ezekiel Sims was a rich businessman who received spider-like abilities similar to Spider-Man. However, unlike Spider-Man who used his powers on a daily basis to save lives, Ezekiel used his powers to build a big business empire with international reach.

When Spider-Man and Ezekiel met, the latter questioned the former and told him that the random accident that gave him his spider powers was not so random and could have been tied to a mystical fate, Ezekiel also told Spider-Man that he wished to help others with his powers like how Spider-Man had been doing. Ezekiel’s questioning led to Spider-Man trying to examine more about his origins and his connection to the world of spiders. Ezekiel later aided Spider-Man against the threats of Morlun and Shathra the Spider-Wasp, both of whom had their own reasons to kill Spider-Man.
