Mad Bets: Is Travis Kelce the best value for MVP?

We're talking MVP odds for this game. Jared, let's start with Patrick Mahomes now. He opened up as a +130 favorite, now +100 to win the MVP. What do you think about this?

JARED QUAY: Yeah. I mean, he won it last year. And you have to think, if the Chiefs win, he's probably the most likely candidate to get it. So I see why that odds movement changed. It's probably the safest of the bets of MVP odds. But if you're betting this, are we betting for safety or are we betting to get rich?

So I wouldn't put it there. But, you know, if you really are confident the Chiefs are gonna win, this would be the best bet.

MINTY BETS: All right-y. Now next up is Tom Brady a.k.a. the GOAT. He opened up as a +240 favorite, now down to +200. What do you think about this one? Pretty impressive.

JARED QUAY: Yeah. I mean, if you think Tampa Bay wins, you would think that Tom Brady would get it. Although his last time he did play they gave it to Julian Edelman in the Super Bowl. But I would just imagine, as much as he's gonna throw the ball, if Tampa Bay finds a way to win and Tom Brady being the GOAT, it just only feels right for history to give him the award.

So I can see why that's a bet, if you think the Bucs are gonna win. But, again, we're here to make big money, not little money, so I don't want to take that.

MINTY BETS: All right. And, lastly, we have Kansas City tight end Travis Kelce. Opened up at a +800, now +1,000 win the MVP. What do you think?

JARED QUAY: I think this would be my bet. I like the take. I get, it people have been betting the other ones. Vegas is basically enticing you to take Travis Kelce by giving you the better odds, and I'm falling for it like a dummy.

Because I just think that, if he can get multiple touchdowns in his 100 yard game-- yeah, I think quarterbacks are great, but I just feel like at some point, if the Chiefs win-- and Pat Mahomes is gonna go to probably 10 Super Bowls just like Brady because he's the future GOAT.

And so I think there's gonna be other opportunities, but I think this is that year where, you know, it's Santonio Holmes, it's Julian Edelman. The guy who got the most catches for the quarterback what may get the award. So if I put my money on an MVP, I'm liking Travis Kelce.
