MINTY BETS: Welcome to "Mad Bets," everyone. It's week 5 of the NFL, and we've got our best bets locked and loaded. Let's get right to it. Matt, you have an interesting best bet for us this week. What is it?

MATT GOTHARD: Well, we just all have to acknowledge the elephant in the room that the average point spread this week is 7 and 1/2 points, which is a massive amount of points in the NFL. If I look at any game, I kind of like the Browns maybe to beat the Indianapolis Colts. But that's my best guess, and this is our Best Bets segment. So I'm going to try to give you a bet that I'm actually going to take. The odds on this are minus 110.

It's a 4-team moneyline parlay, Chiefs to beat the Raiders, Rams to be Washington, Ravens to beat Cincy, and Dallas to beat the Giants. So pretty much, we just need Dallas to beat the Giants. All the other three, those should fall in place. And I think that Dallas is going to take care of business against the sad New York Giants team. That 4-team parlay is the same as one single bet minus 110. It's a good value. That's my best bet of the week.

MINTY BETS: I also hate all the spreads on the board, but I do like the Jaguars-Texans to go over 54 and 1/2. That's right. I'm taking another over. This Jags defense is allowing the highest completion percentage of 77%. They're also allowing the fifth most rushing yards from their opponents and allowing 30 points per game.

And I know this Texans offense doesn't really look that great, only averaging about 20 points per game. But I think against this Jaguars defense, they have a chance. And it'll be an exciting, high-scoring game, so Jaguars-Texans, over 54 and 1/2, and let's save it-- We saved the best for last. Jared Quay, what is your best bet this week?

JARED QUAY: Well, I'm hurt. I can't be called undefeated Quay anymore. Guys, I apologize for you to tell me last week, and that's why I'm giving your money back with the bet that no one's going to like. Let's be honest. We're taking a team that's 0 and 4 against the spread, 1 in 3 in the regular record, and that one game they won, they were down by 20 points. That's right. I'm taking America's team, the Cowboys, to win by 9 and 1/2 against the Giants.

I know Gothard hates this pick, because I always take the Cowboys and lose money. But this is a game they should win. They have an amazing offense. Their defense has been bad. But if you watch the Giants, their offense can't score on the worst defense. They may get a couple field goals here and there, but I don't see how the Cowboys don't score at least 30 points. And that means you think the Giants are going to score at least 21, and that's not happening. So let's take these Cowboys. Let's get our money back. And I'm not going take undefeated Quay, but I'm going to be 90% Quay. That sounds good to the right. I got a ring.
