The Season 10 finale of “The Masked Singer” took place Wednesday, December 20. Cow, Donut, Gazelle and Sea Queen each rocked the stage before audience members and panelists Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg, Ken Jeong and Nicole Scherzinger voted for their favorite. After the first round of voting, Sea Queen became the first secret celebrity to take it off, finishing in fourth place. The oceanic beauty was revealed to be Grammy winner Macy Gray.
“It’s an awesome show. My friends are the stars, you included,” she told host Nick Cannon during her unmasked interview. “It’s always fun with the fans.” After her reveal the panelists thanked her for her time on the show with Nicole saying, “You have a God-given, one-of-a-kind voice that is like no other. I love you so much!” Robin added, “She’s the purest form of an artist because she never stops being Macy Gray.” Gray’s parting words to her fans were, “Be good to yourselves, be good to each other, don’t take no s*** off nobody.”

Before the songstress unmasked the panelists submitted one final guess for who they thought was hiding inside the Sea Queen costume. With her distinct tone and unique performance style, nobody was fooled and the judges unanimously guessed Gray was the singer belting out “Rescue Me” by Fontella Bass.
In her clue package Sea Queen revealed, “Becoming the Sea Queen has been a real experience. I love her regal, commanding presence, but I’m going to be honest with you, wearing this costume hasn’t been all smooth sailing. I’m a seasoned performer, but I’m used to being myself on stage and having to learn new songs and choreography, all while wearing a giant mask, has really stretched me as an entertainer. It is hot in there! It is so claustrophobic. This whole experience has made me feel nervous again in a way that I haven’t in a long time. But I fought my way through it and I’m still here. As the first wildcard to make it into the finale in ‘Masked Singer’ history, yes, I am looking forward to taking this mask off. But only after I win the crown for this Sea Queen!”
