Celebrating Another Gold Record
MGK, Travis Barker and Yungblud are all celebrating their record, “I Think I’m Okay” going gold. It is a meaningful achievement for Baker because people were afraid it was too outside of his comfort zone but it ended up being well received.
"this plaque means more than sales, we fought for this sound, everyone wanted me to stay doing the same shit, people thought I was crazy when I picked up the guitar, told me “this type of music isn’t relevant anymore” — but thank u @emonitela for giving us a sanctuary to come play it, and believe in it before the world did. thank u to my big bro @travisbarker and my British brother @yungblud and all my friends on the scene fighting to keep self expression and vulnerability and imperfection alive in music — F**K A WAVE THIS FOREVER 🔪🖤🤘🏽🖕🏽LOVE YA," MGK wrote detailing his emotions about the song.
Travis also posted about the achievement and wrote, "“I Think I’m Okay” is officially gold and we in album mode!!!!"
