‘MacGyver’ Sneak Peek: MacGyver Breaks Into Prison, But Can He Break Back Out?

MacGyver is feeling the Bishop Prison Blues.

In this week’s new episode of MacGyver, the secret ops agent receives perhaps his most dangerous task yet: going undercover as an inmate named Frank Morris into a prison that is “home to the worst of the worst.”

MacGyver’s mission is to break out El Noche, a notorious drug kingpin, and then follow him to his cartel’s secret location and dismantle it. But he’ll have even fewer tools at his disposal than usual — all he’ll have to break out of prison with is salt and batteries!

As we see in this exclusive sneak peek, Jack (George Eads) is posing as a guard and MacGyver manages to snatch a paper clip. But otherwise he won’t have much backup: “No comms, no gear, no Swiss army knife.” Can MacGyver survive this brutal place to get El Noche to the outside?

“It’s not easy in there,” Riley (Tristin Mays) frets.

MacGyver airs Fridays at 8 p.m. on CBS.
