‘MacGyver’ or ‘MacGruber’: We Put George Eads And Lucas Till to the Test

After debuting with explosive ratings last week, the stars of CBS’ MacGyver are probably feeling like they can handle any challenge. So we gave them a good one: How well do they know the original MacGyver… as well as Will Forte’s brilliant SNL parody MacGruber? Stars Lucas Till and George Eads shared a big laugh as we handed them the two Macs “heads on sticks” props that were integral to gameplay.

“We’ve been waiting all day for someone to ask us about MacGruber,” admitted Till, the new Angus “Mac” MacGyver. His co-star George Eads, who plays CIA Agent Jack Dalton, immediately busted out his best Forte impression (and as you’ll see in the video, it’s pretty spot on).

After discussing the inherent coolness and significance that comes with your last name being used as a common verb (you know you’ve MacGyver’d something in the past month), Lucas Till admitted that his parents barely resisted using their last name to form a dirty pun. We’ll let you guess what it is (or watch the video above, but you have been warned).

MacGyver airs Fridays at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
