‘MacGyver’ Gets a ‘Star Wars’-Inspired Puzzle to Solve (Exclusive Video)
“MacGyver” stages a “Star Wars” homage, and Jack is loving every minute of it.
In this exclusive clip (above) from Friday’s episode, MacGyver (Lucas Till) and Jack (George Eads) get caught in a trash compactor – and the compacting is about to begin.
Yes, this is a direct homage to that time Princess Leia, Chewbacca, Han Solo and Luke Skywalker got caught in the exact same scenario in “Star Wars.”

This fact is not lost on Jack, who proceeds to spend more time making “Star Wars” jokes, including labeling each team member a specific character, much to everyone’s chagrin and disagreement.
In the end, Mac comes up with some cool way of getting them out of it, of course.
Just MacGyver being MacGyver.
The show, which was recently renewed for Season 2, airs Fridays at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
